jacob auditioned for loen entertainment (now kakao m) with the song thinking out loud. he learnt about the audition through his music academy in canada and was initially hesitant on going but after encouragement from his mum, he went. he was then accepted and came to korea in july 2015.after becoming a trainee, jacob used to struggle with dance and even wanted to quit at one point. however, his mum got mad and wouldn't let him. thank you jacob's mum.when he was in canada, he was on both the basketball (point guard, shooting guard) and volleyball (setter) team. in the 11th grade, he attended music lessons at an academy. it was since then that he decided to become a singer.he's very close to his family and they mean alot to him. they have 3 dogs, lucky, dexter, and kobi.
